Senior Katrina Fairbairn has been named a Golden Bear Athlete of the Week for October 11-19, 2017.

Fairbairn, who has played in 12 of Tech's 14 games this season, had an unbelievable game on defense for the Gold and Blue against University of Rio Grande Saturday.

The Golden Bears and RedStorm ended in a double overtime tie, 1-1, and Fairbairn's leadership on defense helped Tech to keep Rio's 26 shots (seven on goal) to just one score.
