Freshman Domenica Moncayo has been named a Golden Bear Athlete of the Week for October 20-26, 2017.

Moncayo marked her first and second collegiate goals to help WVU Tech blank Carlow University 2-0 in River States Conference (RSC) action October 21.

Moncayo's first goal came in the 83^rd minute from an unassisted header she followed up off the post. The second and final score of the game came in minute 85 when the Cumbaya, Quito, Ecuador native connected with sophomore Clarice Taylor who had the assist.
