Laguna also gained All-American accolades during the NAIA National Championship after finishing third in the 200 Breaststroke with a new school record of 2:05.82.

The Toledo, Spain native also helped lead the 800 Freestyle Relay team of Felipe Ruiz, Paulo Ignacio, Jr. and cousin Manuel Laguna Gomez to a sixth place finish, touching at 6:53.30.
