Boyd helped the Golden Bears earn a RSC Championship, crossing second overall with a time of 20:20 in the 5k.

The Alderson, West Virginia native earned RSC All-Conference First Team honors and was named Tech's Champion of Character. One athlete from each school who best represents the NAIA Champions of Character core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership and sportsmanship is awarded this honor.
