Junior Frankie Hilbert has been named the student-athlete of the week for October 17 through 23.

Hilbert single-handedly scored all 44 of WVU Tech's points at this past weekend’s West Virginia State Games.  In the 50-yard freestyle, Hilbert finished in 36th in 27.76.  During the 200-yard freestyle, Hilbert swam a finishing time of 2:13.41 for a 32nd place finish.  On the second day of competition, Hilbert finished 16th in the 100-yard breaststroke and 14th in the 200-yard breaststroke (1:20.25 and 2:53.49 respectively). 

Hilbert is a general education major from Winfield, W.Va.
