WVU Tech Athletics

Senior Amy Gardner has been named the student-athlete of the week for October 31 through November 6.
 
Gardner, who was the leading scorer for the Golden Bears last season, led the women’s basketball team during their 84-57 win over Ohio Midwestern College on Homecoming.  She scored 20 points, 12 of which were off three point shots, while recording 6 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 assist, and was a perfect two-for-two from the charity stride.  She is also the coordinator of community service for women’s basketball.  So far this year, the squad has teamed up with WVU Tech Athletics to collect food for the Union Mission.
 
Gardner is a criminal justice major from Medina, Ohio.
