Freshman Jack Cavanagh has been named the student-athlete of the week for October 31 through November 6.

Cavanagh led the men’s swimming team this past weekend at the Fairmount State University Invitational to an overall third place team finish in the meet. He finished second in the 200-yard IM in 2:04.74, third in the 100-yard breaststroke in1:03.29, and he won the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:14.99.

The freshman also is a contributing member to the Golden Bears Cross Country team.

Cavanagh is a chemical engineering major from Ontario, Canada.
