Senior Jose Soto has been named the Golden Bear Star Performer for March 20 through 26.
 
This past week, Soto led the Golden Bears to a 3-2 record during the week and 10-14 overall.  During this five game stretch against Cumberland University and Ohio University-Chillicothe, Soto went 6-for-12 (.500) with three doubles while recording three RBIs and three walks.  The 5’11” catcher is batting .250 on the season with a slugging percentage of .344.  Soto has hit six doubles while driving in nine runs on the season.
 
Soto is an athletic coaching education major from Maracaibo, Venezuela.
