Freshman Genna Trippett has been named the Golden Bear Star Performer for March 20 through 26.

The right-handed first baseman went 5-for-10 (.500) this weekend during the USCAA Preseason Tournament in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. During the Golden Bears' three games, Trippett recorded two doubles, one homerun, and six RBIs. On the season, Trippett is batting .359 with one homerun, four doubles, 12 RBIs, and eight runs scored.

Trippett is a general education major from Parkersburg, West Virginia.
