Freshman Alfred Martinez has been named the Golden Bear Star Performer for January 14-21.

At 133, the Dundalk, Md. native moved to 10-2 on the season this past week. Martinez took a 6-5 decision by scoring with one second left on the clock against a St. Andrews opponent on Friday in the Baisi Athletic Center.

The Golden Bear won his second tournament championship of the season at the Washington & Lee Invitational Saturday with a 6-4 score after a takedown in sudden victory.
