ATHENS, West Virginia - The WVU Tech volleyball team dropped a pair of matches Tuesday at the Concord Invitational, losing to Davis & Elkins College (3-0) and Concord University (3-0). The losses drop Tech's record to 6-20 in 2014.
The Golden Bears dropped match one vs. D&E with scores of 25-19, 25-11 and 25-14. In the nightcap, Tech fell 25-13, 25-17 and 25-12.
Tech was led on the night by senior
Haley Pauley and sophomore
Keyonna Morrow, both recording 10 kills. On defense, junior
Noelle Day posted 11 digs for the team-high.
Setter
Michala Dean, a red-shirt freshman, produced a team-high 19 assists.
The squad will return to action for the St. Andrews Triangular in Laurinburg, North Carolina Saturday. The first match is set for 11:00 a.m.
