Box Score MONTGOMERY, West Virginia - The WVU Tech volleyball team snapped a nine-game losing streak and swept West Virginia University at Parkersburg (25-9, 25-12, 25-15) in Tuesday night action at the Baisi Athletic Center. The win moves Tech's record to 7-25.
The Golden Bears had significant contributions from senior
Haley Pauley, junior
Jacque Carroll, sophomores
Hannah Atkins,
Brianna Bench and
Mackenzie Snare and redshirt freshman
Michala Dean.
Dean produced a team-high 12 assists. Over her last two matches, the Algoma, Wisconsin native has tallied 32 assists.
The group of Pauley, Carroll, Atkins, Bench and Snare combined for 25 kills with Pauley leading the group with eight while Carroll tallied five and Atkins, Bench and Snare each had four kills.
Carroll led the team on defense with 13 digs while Pauley marked 12. At the service line, the Golden Bears registered 15 service aces from M. Dean (1), junior
Noelle Day (1), Snare (2), sophomore
Keyonna Morrow (5), Pauley (4) and Bench (2).
Tech will continue their homestand when they host Emory & Henry College Saturday in Montgomery, West Virginia, first serve scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
