CHARLESTON, West Virginia - The WVU Tech women's soccer team ended their run in the 2014 United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championships Tournament Thursday evening. The Golden Bears came into the tournament as the No. 8 seed and fell to the No. 1 University of Maine at Fort Kent, 3-0.
The Golden Bears hold a record of 4-9-3 after going 1-1 in the tournament. Tech defeated No. 9 Bryant & Stratton College-Syracuse Wednesday afternoon with a 2-0 victory.
Both teams played hard in the first 45 minutes of play, keeping the score 0-0 after a combined four shots.
UMFK came on strong in the second half, netting a goal in the 56
th minute, following that with two more security goals for the shutout.

Tech will finish their 2014 campaign at 12:00 p.m. Friday. The Golden Bears will face Alfred State College at the Friends of Coal Trace Fork Soccer Complex in Charleston, West Virginia.
