MONTGOMERY, West Virginia - The WVU Tech women's basketball team fell to Point Park University, 91-74, in Wednesday night action at the Baisi Athletic Center.
Tech (5-6) was led by senior
Nia Nolan, who registered 17 points on 7-for-14 shooting and dished a game-high eight assists. Senior
Noelani Woodson was the second Golden Bear in double figures with 11 points while handing out three assists and grabbing two steals.
Senior
Roche Wimberly also marked double-digits with ten points while pulling down a game-high eight rebounds and blocking a game-high three Pioneer balls. Senior
Cierra Mobley was also effective on the boards, marking seven rebounds to go with her six points.
For the contest, Tech held advantages in rebounds (45-37), second chance points (23-9), bench points (36-28) and points in the paint (42-30).
Other contributors for the Golden Bears included juniors
LaKisha Adkins (eight points, four rebounds),
Courtney Fisher (four points, three rebounds/steals) and
Cheyanne Lusk (four rebounds, two points). Tech shot 42.5 percent (31-for-73) from the floor.
The Golden Bears return to action 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Baisi Athletic Center against the University of Virginia's College at Wise.
