The men's basketball team dropped a 95-80 decision to No. 24 (NAIA DI) Lindenwood University-Belleville Saturday afternoon in a road game in Belleville, Ill in their final regular season game of 2013-14.
Burgraff made his presence known outside the three-point line to score 24 points including 5-for-12 from three-point range, leading the Golden Bears against the Lynx. The Matewan, W. Va. native also received United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) All-American accolades as announced by the league Tuesday evening, he was named second team.
The softball team dropped a pair of games against the University of Northwestern (Oh.) losing game one 12-8 before ending the series with a 13-6 defeat to the Racers.
Geldbach tallied seven hits, scoring three runs to pace the Golden Bears. Geldbach went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate in game one against the Racers. The Spokane, Wa. native ended the 2013 season with a batting average of .301.
Men's basketball finished their regular season 18-12 and will head to Marietta, Ga. to compete in the A.I.I. Division I Tournament, set to face Allen University (S.C.) at Life University on March 7, tip-off scheduled for 8:00 p.m. Softball will next head to Elizabethtown, Ky. to participate in the USCAA Preseason Tournament March 14-15 where the Golden Bears have five games scheduled.
