RIO GRANDE, Ohio - The WVU Tech women's soccer team lost a narrow decision, 1-0, to the University of Rio Grande in Saturday evening action on the pitch.

With the loss, Tech falls to 1-4-2 on the season. Rio improved to 5-3 with the win.

The contest remained scoreless through the first 65 minutes of play until the Redstorm scored the only goal of the game. Before the Rio goal, the Golden Bears recorded their only shot on goal, coming from junior Creshana Jones in the 21^st minute.

Freshman goalkeeper Martha Reyna made three saves in the defeat.

Tech will resume play in week, Oct. 4 at Warren Wilson College in Asheville, North Carolina at 1:00 p.m.
