MONTGOMERY, West Virginia - WVU Tech women's basketball is on a two-game win streak after defeating Washington Adventist University in the Baisi Athletic Center Monday evening. The Golden Bears' efforts boost their record to 8-13 with a 73-51 score over the Shock (4-13).
Senior
Nia Nolan scored a double-double of 20 points and 10 assists to lead the Golden Bears. Nolan also posted a game-high five steals to go with two rebounds.
Junior
Cheyanne Lusk posted 12 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals. Freshman
Rocio Ruiz-Berdejo pulled down 11 boards while marking two of each, steals, blocks and points.
Junior
Courtney Fisher put out nine points and grabbed five rebounds. Senior
Cierra Mobley finished the night shooting 3-for-4 from the field for six points while pulling down six rebounds, three offensive.
As a team, Tech held the edge over the Shock in rebounds (50-46) while outshooting their opponent, 35.0 percent (28-for-80) to 33.3 percent (19-for-57).
The Golden Bears will return to action Saturday, January 31 when they face Newport News Apprentice School, scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
