Alexandra Klein scored both goals to help the WVU Tech women's soccer team to a 2-0 shutout victory over Washington Adventist University Monday afternoon. The Golden Bears are now 9-3 while the Shock fall to 3-9-1 in 2015.
Klein opened up her scoring efforts in the 14
th minute with an unassisted goal. Senior
Jessica Guzman connected with Klein in minute 49 to mark her third assist in 2015.
For the game, Tech handled the Shock 37-1 in shots while also holding the advantage in corner kicks, 10-0.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Martha Reyna (3-1) ended the match with one save while grabbing her second shutout of the season.
Tech returns to KIAC play on October 15 when they host Brescia University. The game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. in Beckley, West Virginia.
