RIO GRANDE, Ohio — The WVU Tech men's soccer team, currently ranked #24 in the NAIA, was rolling on a 13-game win streak until Wednesday evening when the fell to #1 University of Rio Grande, 3-0. The Golden Bears are now 13-1, 4-1 (KIAC) in 2015 while the RedStorm stay perfect in the conference, moving to 15-1, 5-0 (KIAC).
The teams stayed even through the first half with Tech's opponent outshooting them 8-2. It was in the 61
st minute when Rio Grande first found the back of the net, securing the victory with two more goals (76' and 85').

Joaquin Rodriguez tallied the Golden Bears lone shot on goal while freshman
Harry Reilly and sophomore
Jose Segarra had two shots each.
Senior goalkeeper
Pol Bernaldo (6-1) made three saves in 90 minutes of play for the Gold and Blue.
Tech trailed the RedStorm overall in shots (21-6) and corner kicks (10-2).
The team will take to the field again when they face Salem International University Saturday afternoon at the Paul Cline Memorial Complex in Beckley, West Virginia. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
