MONTGOMERY, West Virginia - WVU Tech women's volleyball split a pair of matches Saturday at the Tech Tri-Match in the Baisi Athletic Center to Appalachian Bible College (3-1) and KIAC foe Indiana University-Southeast (0-3). The Golden Bears boost their record to 2-14, 0-4 (KIAC), grabbing their second win against the Warriors and in 2015.
Appalachian Bible took a set from Tech, 25-21 before the Golden Bears came back, 25-13, 25-12 and 25-6 to take the match. Tech fell to the Grenadiers, 25-19, 25-12 and 25-16.
Senior
Jacque Carroll and freshman
Kayla Hill led the way with 12 kills for the Gold and Blue in match one. Carroll also posted a match-high six blocks to go with two aces. Freshman
Madeline Gilson led the match in digs with 14 while recording a career-high four aces. Freshman setter

Jaymee Hannan handled the ball for Tech, marking 25 and 20 assists respectively.
In match two, a conference match-up, Carroll and junior
Mackenzie Snare were on top with six kills each. Snare also had a match-high three blocks. In the back row, Gilson matched the 14 digs posted in the first contest. Monteiro put out ten assists while Hannan posted nine.
The Golden Bears return to the court when they head to Bluefield, West Virginia Tuesday to face Bluefield State College.
