PIKEVILLE, Kentucky — The WVU Tech women's basketball team lost to the University of Pikeville 107-54 Sunday evening in Pikeville, Kentucky. The Golden Bears are now 2-2 this season while the Bears improve to 4-0.
Freshman
Savannah Shamblin finished with 20 points leading the way for Tech. Senior
Courtney Fisher and sophomore
Brett Justice had eight points each.
Senior
LaKisha Adkins pulled down six rebounds to lead the Gold and Blue while posting seven points.
Tech was held to 31 percent (18-for-58) shooting from the field while their opponent shot 55.6 percent (40-for-72) from the field.
UPIKE was led by Sandra Davis who finished with 15 points and seven rebounds.
The team will return to the hardwood November 16 when they travel to Bluefield College (Virginia).
