KIAC Game of the Week – Women’s Soccer: WVU Tech (11-5) at Point Park (10-5-2)

Live Video (Stretch Internet)

PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania — Point Park University hosts WVU Tech in an important women's soccer game for the "KIAC Game of the Week,' on Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 4 p.m. in Pittsburgh, Pa. Live Video will be provided by the Point Park Sports Network presented by Stretch Internet.

Point Park is 6-1 KIAC and currently in second place in standings. First-place Asbury is also 6-1 KIAC but owns a head-to-head win over Point Park, 1-0, last Saturday. WVU Tech is 4-3 KIAC after a 1-0, double-overtime loss at home to Carlow last weekend.

Point Park is still alive for a possible KIAC regular-season title. The Pioneers would need to beat WVU Tech and also has Asbury lose its KIAC finale at Cincinnati Christian on Thursday. Point Park can finish no less than second place in the standings and is guaranteed a bye in the first round of the KIAC Tournament.

WVU Tech is locked into the fourth seed in the KIAC Tournament. Regardless of the seedings being well in place, both teams are looking to notch a big conference win and head into the postseason on a high note in this installment of the "KIAC Game of the Week."

Point Park won the matchup last year with a 3-0 win on the road at WVU Tech. The Golden Bears are a new KIAC member this year and are having a strong season at 11-5 overall. WVU Tech is getting its second taste of the "KIAC Game of the Week," and it was able to hand first-place Asbury its only loss of the season, 1-0, in that game on Oct. 8.

Point Park is also 1-0 in the "KIAC Game of the Week" this year with a 3-1 at Ohio Christian Sept. 15. The Pioneers are 10-5-2 overall and can set a school record for wins in a season with one more victory.

The Pioneers' offense is second in the KIAC with 2.65 goals per game, and WVU Tech is right behind in third place at 2.60 goals per game. Defensivley, Point Park is second in the conference at 1.12 goals-against per game whereas WVU Tech is next with 1.13 goals-against per game.
