MONTGOMERY, West Virginia - WVU Tech wrestling will be competing in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) East Regional this Saturday in hopes to have Golden Bears qualify for the NAIA National Championship (March 6-7). The Baisi Athletic Center will see action Saturday when women's basketball hosts Berea College (Kentucky) and baseball travels to St. Andrews University for a three-game series.

- Tech split a two-game series, 1-1 to the University of Pikeville in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
- The Golden Bears grabbed their first victory of 2015 off the shutout effort of sophomore pitcher Austin Southcott, 2-0 in game one.
- The team fell in game two to UPIKE, 10-9 in extra innings (nine).
- In seven innings of work, Southcott allowed no runs on three hits while recording eight strikeouts.
- Sophomore Trevor Lam nailed a home run in the win.
- In the loss, the Golden Bears scored three of their runs on an RBI single by junior Xavier Barriere and a two-run double by Lam.
