SOUTH CHARLESTON, West Virginia - The WVU Tech softball team secured a doubleheader split versus Davis and Elkins College Thursday afternoon at Little Creek Park in South Charleston, West Virginia by downing the Senators, 6-4 in game one before dropping the nightcap, 15-0 in five innings.
The Golden Bears' record now stands at 2-4 while the Senators move to 3-6 this year.

Breigh Renner had a standout game for the Golden Bears, recording four RBI on two hits while being solid on defense at third base. Senior
Kat Lively also tallied two hits and scored three runs for Tech while marking an RBI. Freshman
MiKayla Craze had two hits and crossed the plate twice for two runs.
Sophomore
Mackenzie Wilson (2-0) pitched a complete game for the win, striking out 12 Senators while scattering four earned runs and one hit.

Samantha Sirles produced the lone hit for the Golden Bears in the five inning loss to Davis and Elkins.

Kyla Shull (0-1) drew the start on the mound for the loss, giving up seven earned runs on four hits.
The Golden Bears will return to action when they host the University of Pikeville Sunday at Little Creek Park in South Charleston, West Virginia for a doubleheader.
