Zack Thomas gave up just two hits over three innings for the win and junior
Xavier Barriere drove in three runs on one hit and a sacrifice fly as the WVU Tech baseball team earned an 11-1 victory over Central Pennsylvania College Tuesday afternoon at Douglas M. Epling Field.
The Golden Bears improve to 17-14 this season while Central Pennsylvania falls to 0-7.
Junior
Carlos Diaz finished a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate, scoring two runs while driving in one. Fellow classmate
John Baird was the other Golden Bear with a multiple hit game, registering two hits, two RBI and a run.

Michael Britt recorded a double each for the Gold and Blue.
The team had five stolen bases by junior
Hugo Rodriguez (2), Diaz (1), Barriere (1) and freshman
Ian Southcott (1).
Hudson drew the start on the mound, pitching three innings, while striking out four batters with no hits and no runs scored. Thomas (1-0) had three strikeouts after facing 13 batters.
WVU Tech will host the College of Saint Joseph (Vermont) at Douglas M. Epling Field in East Bank, West Virginia Thursday for doubleheader action, first pitch scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
