MONTGOMERY, West Virginia - WVU Tech spring sports will celebrate their seniors this weekend starting with softball Friday afternoon in Smithers, West Virginia when they host NCAA DII foe Bluefield State College for doubleheader action. Golden Bear baseball will face No. 3 (NAIA DI) Georgia Gwinnett College in Beckley, West Virginia for a three-game series, celebrating eight seniors on Saturday.

LAST SERIES - Earned a split against NCAA DII foe Glenville State College falling in game one 7-1 before winning 11-2 in the final contest.

- Trippett finished a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate for the Gold and Blue, producing two RBI and a double.
- The junior also pitched a complete game for the win moving her record in the circle to 3-4 while striking out two batters.
- Tech saw two home runs, one each from Waugh and Blythe.
- Waugh had three hits, three runs scored and a RBI.
- Blythe ended the game 2-for-2 with two RBI and runs scored.
- Fetty and freshman MiKayla Craze had a double each.

- Tech registered eight hits from five Golden Bears in the loss, including two each from senior Austin Lucas and juniors Hugo Rodriguez and Carlos Diaz.
- Sophomore Trevor Lam marked a hit and the lone Tech RBI.
- Junior Josh Hudson (2-4) pitched 6.0 innings for the loss, scattering six hits and four earned runs while striking out four Pioneers.
- Game Two | WVU Tech 5, Point Park 1 (Box Score)
- Diaz recorded all four of Tech's RBI in game two, hitting his fourth home run of the season while also scoring junior Dylan Harvey, Rodriguez and freshman Cody Miller from that one swing.
- Harvey finished 2-for-3 at the plate while Rodriguez was 1-for-2 with a double, scoring two runs for the Golden Bears.
- Sophomore Jayson Sykora (3-5) earned the win on 4.1 innings of work, striking out three batters while giving up five hits and no earned runs.
- The Golden Bears took a game from the Grizzlies, 7-4 April 11 before falling 5-4 and 12-0 on April 12.
