LAWRENCEVILLE, Georgia  - The WVU Tech baseball team will continue their time at the A.I.I. Conference Tournament after defeating Ashford University (Iowa), 4-2 in an elimination game Sunday afternoon. The Golden Bears will face the the loser of game six, No. 4 seed Houston-Victoria (Texas) versus No. 2 Cal State San Marcos, on Monday, first pitch scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

Junior Josh Hudson hit a double down the right field line in the bottom of the fourth to drive in senior Carlos Diaz and freshman Cody Miller to give Tech the 3-2 lead before sophomore Trevor Lam's double scored junior Xavier Barriere for a security run in the eighth for the 4-2 victory.

On the mound, senior Craig Johnson earned the win, striking out three while giving up three hits. Senior Josh Smetana pitched two innings for the save and junior Kyle Sager drew the start, scattering eight while striking out two batters.
