MONTGOMERY, West Virginia — The WVU Tech (0-2) volleyball team lost in three sets to Bluefield College (1-0) Tuesday night, 25-16, 25-16 and 25-18 in the Baisi Athletic Center.
"It's only the second match of the season, it's early, we just need to be patient and think positive," said head coach
Anna Kowalska. "We need that first win and once we get it, we will be fine."
Junior
Michala Dean paced Tech with her second double-double in as many matches of 11 digs and 10 assists while marking six kills. Senior
Jacque Carroll also marked her second double-double in 2015 with a team-high ten kills and 11 digs.
Freshman
Ana Monteiro had a team-high 13 assists while recording four digs and a kill. Senior
Chelsea Dean had seven digs and four kills.
Senior Jasmine Morrow led the Rams to the win with a match-best 14 kills.
"Tomorrow we will practice, talk about the match today, fix the errors and move on," stated Kowalska.
The Golden Bears will compete in their first road match of the season this Thursday when they face Salem International at 6:00 p.m.
