Box Score MOUNT HOPE, West Virginia — WVU Tech volleyball grabbed their first victory in 2015, 3-0 over Appalachian Bible College Tuesday night with scores of 25-11, 25-11 and 25-8. The Golden Bears are now 1-8, 0-2 (KIAC) while Appalachian Bible holds a record of 7-2.
Tech was led by senior
Chelsea Dean in kills (8) and juniors
Michala Dean in asssists (10),
Brianna Whaley in digs (12) and
Mackenzie Snare in blocks (5).
The Golden Bears also saw contributions from freshman
Ana Monteiro who marked 11 digs, sophomore
Courtney Burkhart with seven assists and senior
Jacque Carroll with five kills. C. Dean put down three blocks while M. Dean and Carroll had two aces each.
The team will continue action tonight, Wednesday as they host the University of Rio Grande in a KIAC match-up at the Baisi Athletic Center. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
