Alexandra Klein, found the back of the net with just 2:42 left in overtime to secure the victory and help move Tech to 7-1, 1-1 (KIAC) this season.
The Golden Bears struck early when sophomore
Tristen Kilman marked her fourth goal of the season in the ninth minute. The Bears answered back to tie it up, 1-1, before the half was over.
The teams both netted a goal in the second half, including Klein's first collegiate score (76') to send the game to overtime. Kilman connected with Klein on the goal.
In OT, Tech's only shot taken was the goal made by Foster. Senior goalkeeper
Sydney Schaeffer stopped two of the Bears' shots in extra minutes to help the Gold and Blue to their third overtime win of the season.
Schaeffer (5-0) had a total of four saves and one goal allowed in 44 minutes of play while sophomore goalkeeper
Martha Reyna had the same stats in 55 minutes of play.
The Golden Bears return to the pitch Friday, October 2 when they travel to Salem College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, action is set to begin at 5:00 p.m.
