PORTSMOUTH, Ohio — The WVU Tech women's basketball team dropped a road conference game to Ohio Christian University 63-48 Saturday afternoon. The Golden Bears are now 1-5 in KIAC play, 6-11 overall while the Trailblazers hold a record of 2-3 in the KIAC, 9-7 overall.

LaKisha Adkins scored a game-high 15 points while pulling down six rebounds to lead Tech. Freshman
Savannah Shamblin played the complete game and dropped in 13 points to go with five defensive rebounds. Shamblin was 3-for-6 from three-point range. Junior
Elizabeth Evans contributed with nine points and two rebounds.
Tech was held to just 32.1 percent (17-for-53) shooting from the field while holding their opponent to 37.7 percent (23-for-61) shooting. The Golden Bears shot 52.4 percent (11-for-21) from the foul line.
Shawntell Parsons had 14 points to lead Ohio Christian.
The Gold and Blue will next play host to Indiana University East Tuesday in the Baisi Athletic Center. The KIAC action is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
