MONTGOMERY, West Virginia — Four Golden Bears finished in double figures and WVU Tech men's basketball ended its three-game losing streak with a 107-96 decision over Carlow University in KIAC action Sunday afternoon. The win boosts Tech's record to 14-8, 6-3 (KIAC) while the Celtics fall to 3-16, 0-10 (KIAC).
Sophomore
Juwuan Wilson had a double-double effort of 16 points and 11 rebounds while fellow classmate
Ryan Atkins led on offense with 33 points including going 13-for-14 from the foul line. Wilson was 12-for-16 at the free throw line and finished with three assists, two steals and a block. Atkins saw 35 minutes of playing time and pulled down seven rebounds for Tech while grabbing a game-high four steals.
Senior
Eddie Gordon posted 17 points while sophomore
Cole Schoolcraft had ten points to round out Tech's top offensive contributors. Schoolcraft was perfect at the bonus line (4-for-4) and grabbed two steals.
As a team, the Gold and Blue enjoyed an 87.2 percent (41-for-47) shooting performance from the foul line while shooting 44.1 percent (30-for-68) from the field and 46.2 percent (6-for-13) from beyond the arc.
The Celtics were paced by Isaac Fulwood who posted 25 points.
The Gold and Blue will next travel to Point Park University Tuesday for a conference game scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
