WILKES-BARRE, Pennsylvania — The WVU Tech wrestling team traveled to Wilkes University Sunday for a quad match against NCAA DII teams SUNY Oneonta, Alfred State and Rochester Institute of Technology, falling 0-3 on the day. The Golden Bears are now 2-11 this season in duals after scores of 33-13 (vs. Oneonta), 24-21 (vs. Alfred State) and 29-15 (vs. RIT).
Senior
Conrad Lacey (157) and junior
Terry Nance II (197) dominated their respective weight classes, finishing with a perfect 3-0 record Sunday. Lacey won by two decisions and a forfeit while Nance picked up his wins by two forfeits and a decision. Lacey defeated Oneonta's T. Marrone with a 12-4 major decision and posted a 6-5 decision over RIT's K. Feeney. Nance won by a 3-2 decision over Oneonta's A. Marino.
Junior
Colton Rowe went 2-1 during the quad, defeating Alfred's G. VanValen with a 4-3 decision and RIT's J. Donahue 13-11. Freshman
Robert Pritt (141) picked up points for Tech winning by forfeit against Oneonta.
Junior
Paul Gonzales finished the day 1-2, defeating RIT's I. Ocasio with a 3-0 decision.
Tech will return to the mat when they travel to Buena Vista, Virginia Wednesday for a tri-meet against Southern Virginia University and Liberty University. Action is set to begin at 5 p.m.
