BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech volleyball earned their first River States Conference (RSC) victory in 2016 with a 3-1 match over Brescia University in Van Meter Gym Saturday morning.
With scores of 25-21, 25-18, 22-25, 25-22 and a 3-0 loss to Indiana University Southeast in the afternoon, the Golden Bears move to 12-10, 1-3 (RSC) this season.
In the win, Tech and the match were led by junior
Bailey Lotozo (24 kills), freshman
Konstantina Pateli (44 assists) and senior
Keyonna Morrow (17 digs and 3 aces). Pateli and Morrow also marked a match-high three blocks.
On the attack, Morrow finished with ten kills while sophomore
Ana Monteiro and freshman
Carolina Bologna had nine each. Senior libero
Michala Dean marked 16 digs while Lotozo picked up 13 digs.
The Gold and Blue will continue conference play when they travel to the University of Rio Grande Tuesday, October 4 for a 7 p.m. contest.
