BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech women's soccer is still undefeated in River States Conference play as they move to 2-0-2, 7-4-2 overall after a 1-0 victory over the University of Rio Grande Thursday evening at the YMCA Paul Cline Memorial Complex. The RedStorm move to 2-9-2, 1-2-1 (RSC).
The teams remained scoreless in the first 75 minutes of play until senior
Alex Blumer found sophomore
Caitlin Foster's feet for the score. Foster posted her fourth goal this season while Blumer earned her second assist in 2016.

Olivia Mantohbang had two shots on goal each to the lead the team.
Junior goalkeeper
Martha Reyna is now 7-4-2 defending the net after one save in 90 minutes of play.
The Gold and Blue held the advantage in shots (18-2) and corner kicks (7-1).
Tech will continue conference play when they host Point Park University Thursday, October 20 for Senior Night in Beckley, West Virginia. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
