CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The WVU Tech volleyball team fell in the first round of the River States Conference Tournament to Indiana University Kokomo (25-14, 25-15, 25-14) Friday afternoon at Cincinnati Christian University.

Tech (22-19) was paced by freshman Konstantina Pateli who had 20 assists, nine digs and three kills.

Junior Bailey Lotozo finished the match with a team-high nine kills to go with five digs and a service ace. Senior Keyonna Morrow and freshman Carolina Bologna posted five kills each.

On defense, senior libero Michala Dean led Tech with 12 digs while sophomore Ana Monteiro marked 11 digs.

Despite losing in the first round of the conference tournament, Tech won 22 matches this season, the most they have won since at least 2007. The Golden Bears are on an upward trajectory under second-year head coach Anna Kowalska.
