LAST GAME
  • Saw five Golden Bears hit double-digits and the team took their first victory of the season with a 118-77 score over Wright State Lake.
  • Junior Ryan Atkins led the game with a 6-for-8 effort from three-point range towards his 29 points.
  • Atkins also marked five assists and four rebounds.
  • Also hitting double-digits for the Gold and Blue included senior Ra'Shaud Kincaid (21), juniors Michael Scott (14) and Enson Garcia (11) and sophomore Brent Daniels (11).
  • Scott finished with a double-double by pulling down a game-high ten rebounds to go with his 14 points and five assists.
  • Junior Kievonn Banks was also big on the boards, pulling down seven rebounds in the win.
  • As a team, Tech shot 52.6 percent (41-for-78) from the field while holding the advantage in rebounds, 50-28.
  • The Golden Bears forced 21 Lakers' miscues and recorded 12 steals.

LAST COMPETITION
  • Competed at the Patriot Open hosted by University of the Cumberlands Saturday and where 12 Golden Bears grappled towards a championship in their respective classes.
  • Freshman Louis Bernard earned 4.5 points and scored a fall at 157 during round four at 0:57.
  • Senior Bryan Overton also earned a fall (6:05) at 165 in his first bout of the day.

LAST GAME
  • Six Golden Bears scored in double-digits and WVU Tech women's basketball earned their second consecutive win after a 99-62 victory over Penn State Fayette.
  • Senior Cheyanna Lusk led with 16 points, dished a game-high six assists, pulled down six rebounds and grabbed four steals.
  • Senior Keymonisha Dudley and junior Zjhane West finished with 14 points each while sophomores Savannah Shamblin (13) and Alexandra Combs (11) and senior Brooke Gee (11) also marked double-digits for the Golden Bears.
  • Gee had a double-double effort by grabbing a game-high 14 rebounds to go with two assists, two steals and a block.
  • Towards Tech's 45 rebounds, Shamblin had six while West and freshman Laura Requena had five each.
  • As a team, Tech shot a season-high 53.2 percent (41-for-77) from the field while holding their opponent to just 32.3 percent (21-for-65).
  • The Gold and Blue also held the advantage in rebounds (45-28), steals (16-15) and forced miscues (19-29).

LAST GAME
  • Finished the regular season undefeated in the River States Conference after a 9-2 victory at Cincinnati Christian University.
  • The Golden Bears, ranked No. 12 in the NAIA Top 25, had the same record as Rio Grande but were edged out for the top seed and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs because of the second tiebreaker of goals allowed in conference games.
  • Goal contributors in the win included seniors Saul Montealegre, who finished with a hat trick, and Daniel Ramirez, junior Francisco Neto (2), freshman Ignacio Tellechea and sophomores Murray Kinnaird and William Adarkwah.
  • The assists were credited to sophomores Alvaro Adan (2) and Matias Pazos (2) and freshmen Alvaro Tina, Sergio Sanchez and Tellechea.
  • Senior goalkeeper Hunter Moles (15-1-2) was awarded the win after 45 minutes in goal while freshman Jorge Martinez defended the net for the final 45 minutes of play.

  • Captured a 3-1 victory at Bluefield College to finish their regular season Thursday evening.
  • The Golden Bears have had a historical season, garnering a 22-18 record so far which marks the most victories for the program since at least 2007.
  • Senior libero Michala Dean had a match-high 16 digs which brought her career total to 1,000.
  • Dean earned 648 of those digs this season for the Golden Bears.
  • Sophomore Ana Monteiro led the team with 16 kills while picking up 15 digs and marking two block assists.
  • Monteiro now has 411 digs and 183 kills in 2016.
  • Senior Keyonna Morrow and junior Bailey Lotozo both posted 14 kills in the win while they marked five and nine digs respectively.
  • Sophomore Carolina Bologna finished with 11 kills to round out Tech's top offensive contributors.
  • Freshman Konstantina Pateli handled the ball for Tech, dishing out a match-high 51 assists towards her 1,307 total.
