LAST GAME
  • Had four Golden Bears finish with double-digits but fell to River States Conference member Point Park University, 90-81.
  • The Gold and Blue went into the locker room at the half with a 41-39 lead but were held to just 33.33 percent (12-for-36) shooting from the field in the final half compared to Point Park's 56.25 percent (18-for-32) second half shooting.
  • Junior Ryan Atkins led the game with 22 points while pulling down eight rebounds.
  • Senior Ra'Shaud Kincaid and junior Michael Scott both produced 13 points while junior Elisha Boone finished with a double-double effort of a game-best 14 rebounds and 11 points to go with a game-high three blocks.
  • Senior Patrick Gnagbo grabbed 11 rebounds, six offensive, to go with three points.
  • Junior Kievonn Banks and freshman Junior Arrey posted seven points each in the loss.
  • Game totals included 49 rebounds for Tech which bested the Pioneers' 31 and eight forced Point Park miscues compared to the Golden Bears' nine.
  • WVU Tech held advantages in second chance points (24-12) and points in the paint (28-22).

LAST COMPETITION
  • Had seven Golden Bears place at the Messiah-Petrofes Invitational including a team-best fifth place finish from junior Jephte Jeanpaul during the two-day competition in Grantham, Pennsylvania.
  • As a team, Tech finished with 69 points good for eighth out of 14 squads.
  • Jeanpaul finished with five falls towards his finish including a pin at 6:07 in the 157 fifth place match over fellow teammate freshman Louis Bernard.
  • Senior Paul Gonzales (125), Bernard (157) and junior Casey Hogg (285) all earned sixth place in their respective weight classes.
  • Gonzales earned a major decision (11-4) over Springfield's Devin Marino and ultimately loss in his final bout due to medical forfeit.
  • Bernard wrestled towards five falls at 157 including a technical fall against McDaniel's Aadam Abdullabi, 19-3.
  • Hogg was pinned at 1:47 in his final bout by Springfield's Joe Fusco but earned two falls throughout the invitational.
  • Senior Terry Nance finished seventh at 197, earning his finish with an 8-5 decision over Springfield's Justin McLee in his last match of the weekend.
  • Seniors Denis Robles (133) and Bryan Overton (165) both finished eighth to round out Tech's place makers.
  • Robles had a major decision (19-6) over Gettysburg's Josh Newman while Overton earned a major decision (14-1) over Mount Union's Jacob Taylor.
