CINCINNATI, Ohio — The No. 3 seed WVU Tech men's basketball team ended its season with a 70-66 loss against the No. 2 seed Cincinnati Christian University Wednesday evening in the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) Tournament quarter final. The Golden Bears finish the year 16-14 overall, going 3-7 in the final ten contests of their 2015-16 campaign.

Eddie Gordon nailed a three-pointer to bring the score to 69-66 with CCU on top but the team fell short with Gordon getting off just one more shot before the buzzer.
Three Golden Bears scored in double figures, including a game-best 22 points from junior
Paul Stone and sophomore
Ryan Atkins. Stone finished 8-for-15 from the field while sinking 6-of-7 free throws and pulling down eight rebounds. Atkins had the game-highs with nine rebounds and three steals.
Gordon poured in ten points, finishing his career with 973 total points. The South Charleston, West Virginia native also had three rebounds and a steal.
For the game, Tech shot 37.3 percent (22-for-59) from the floor while the Eagles finished at 44.6 percent (25-for-56).
Cincinnati Christian was paced by Khari Burton and Blake Walsman who had 17 points each.
