Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MOUNT VERNON, Georgia — The WVU Tech baseball team swept Brewton-Parker College Friday afternoon in their first two contests of a four-game series. The Golden Bears extend their win streak to three with the 10-0 and 8-2 win over the Barons, boosting their record to 4-2.

On the mound, junior Austin Southcott (1-0) scored the shutout win after throwing a complete game in the first contest while fellow classmate Jayson Sykora (1-0) pitched for the win in the night cap.

Tech finished with 13 hits in the shutout including seniors Dylan Harvey and Tommy Weaver and juniors Marcus Rodriguez and Tanner Levine registering two hits a piece. Weaver marked three RBI, Rodriguez had two and Levine drove in one run.

Senior Jeinson Espinosa and junior Sebastian Gomez Herrera each recorded a double

Southcott did 7.0 innings of work, giving up just three hits while striking out five Barons.
