LEXINGTON, Virginia -- The WVU Tech volleyball squad defeated NCAA DIII foe Southern Virginia University 3-2 with scores of 25-22, 18-25, 17-25, 25-23 and 15-13 Thursday evening in Lexington, Virginia. The victory boosts the Golden Bears to a winning record of 8-7 while the Knights are 1-7 in 2016.
Freshman
Konstantina Pateli led the team with 44 assists and the match with four aces while fellow classmate
Carolina Bologna had 12 kills and six blocks. Senior
Michala Dean marked a match-high 26 digs while posting three assists and an ace.
Sophomore
Kayla Hill had a season-high nine kills with four digs while senior
Keyonna Morrow finished with eight kills. Freshman
Roytihala Brown had a career night with 14 digs, three assists and two kills.
The team will return to the court tomorrow, Friday when they travel to Ferrum College for a 7 p.m. match-up.
