FERRUM, Virginia -- The WVU Tech volleyball team extended its winning streak to four with a 3-2 victory at NCAA DIII foe Ferrum College Friday evening. With scores of 25-20, 16-25, 23-25, 25-21 and 15-11 the Golden Bears boost their record to 9-7 while the Panthers fall to 3-8.
Senior
Keyonna Morrow had a match-high 15 kills, freshman
Konstantina Pateli set up 44 points and senior
Michala Dean posted a team-high 22 digs.
Sophomore
Kayla Hill added 13 kills while freshman
Carolina Bologna marked 10 kills to round out the Gold and Blue's top offensive contributors.
On defense, freshmen
Riley Bocan, Bologna and Pateli led with two blocks each while sophomore
Ana Monteiro and Pateli had 14 digs.
Currently, Pateli holds four top-50 rankings in the nation (NAIA DI) including No. 3 in total service aces (40), No. 12 in service aces per game (.700), No. 17 in total assists (500) and No. 50 in assists per game (8.770). Junior
Bailey Lotozo also holds rankings, No. 25 in total kills (183) and No. 35 in kills per game (3.660).
Tech will look to continue their winning ways when they host Appalachian Bible College Monday in the Baisi Athletic Center.
