MONTGOMERY, West Virginia -- The WVU Tech (5-7) volleyball team dropped a 3-2 decision (17-25, 24-26, 25-13, 25-21, 13-15) Wednesday to Emory & Henry College (2-4) in the Baisi Athletic Center.
For the match, junior
Bailey Lotozo led with 23 kills while also marking a block solo and block assist. Senior
Keyonna Morrow produced nine kills while freshman
Carolina Bologna had seven to round out the top offensive contributors.
Freshman
Konstantina Pateli handled the ball for Tech, marking 40 assists in the loss. Pateli also served up five aces to bring her season total to 35. Pateli currently holds four top-50 rankings in the nation (NAIA DI) including No. 5 in total service aces (35), No. 19 in service aces per game (.750), No. 20 in total assists (360) and No. 41 in assists per game (9.000).
On defense, senior
Michala Dean had 20 digs to lead the match while Lotozo finished with 13 digs and Pateli had 12.
The Golden Bears return to action Saturday when they travel to the University of Cincinnati Clermont for a tri-match where they will face the host school and Wright State Lake.
