BLUEFIELD, Virginia -- The WVU Tech women's soccer team moves to 3-1 after capturing a 3-0 shutout victory at Bluefield College Wednesday. The Rams also hold a 3-1 record in 2016.
The Gold and Blue saw goal contributions from sophomores
Brianna Enger and
Caitlin Foster. Enger scored Tech's first two goals off the assists of freshman
Hailey Couchman (22') and junior
Olivia Mantohbang (77') while Foster's goal came from junior
Katrina Fairbairn's perfect pass (90').
Junior goalkeeper
Martha Reyna (3-1) recorded her second shutout win this season after 90 minutes of play. Reyna marked three saves.
The Golden Bears held the advantage on shots (17-6) and shots on goal (10-3).
The team will next travel to Portsmouth, Ohio to face Shawnee State University September 13. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
