MONTGOMERY, West Virginia -- Senior
Cheyanna Lusk poured in 17 points to lead the Golden Bears and surpassed 1,000 career points in WVU Tech's 74-68 victory over River States Conference (RSC) opponent Alice Lloyd College. The Golden Bears boost their record to 14-7, 6-4 (RSC) while the Eagles fall to 8-9, 3-7 (RSC).
Lusk has shot 21-for-22 from the foul line in Tech's last two wins including a 9-for-10 showing in Tuesday's win. The Cyclone, West Virginia native also pulled down a team-high eight rebounds to go with four assists and four steals.
Freshman
Savannah Shamblin was the Gold and Blue's next leading scorer after a 3-for-4 effort from three-point range towards her 13 points. Shamblin also dished three assists and marked two rebounds.
Junior

Logan Dudley, who came off the bench, produced 12 points and grabbed four boards each for Tech. Fellow classmate
Brett Justice contributed seven rebounds and four points.
The Eagles' defense held Tech to 39.4 percent (26-for-66) shooting from the floor while finishing 41.0 percent (25-for-61) themselves. WVU Tech did hold the advantage in rebounds (40-37), forced miscues (12-16) and points off turnovers (15-10).
Up next, Tech will travel for a two-game RSC road stand when they face Cincinnati Christian University Friday before heading to Indiana University Kokomo on Saturday.
