Box Score KOKOMO, Indiana -- WVU Tech men's basketball has nine back-to-back victories after defeating Indiana University Kokomo 103-81 Saturday in River States Conference (RSC) action. The Golden Bears move to 18-5, 11-1 (RSC) this season while the Cougars fall to 9-17, 4-8 (RSC).

Tech, currently No. 22 in the nation (NAIA DII), now sit at the top of the East Division (RSC) after Saturday's win. Indiana University East, who is No. 7 in the NAIA DII, slipped to No. 2 in the conference with a record of 10-2 after falling to (RV) Indiana University Southeast Saturday, 104-95.

Junior Ryan Atkins helped lead the team to the W with a game-best 27 points on 9-for-17 shooting from the field. Atkins finished a perfect 6-for-6 from the foul line and was 3-for-7 from beyond the arc. The Miami, Florida native also had six rebounds, three assists and two steals in 25 minutes of play.

Fellow classmate Michael Scott had 22 points including three three-pointers to go with eight rebounds, four offensive and four defensive.

Junior Elisha Boone was 8-for-10 from the bonus line towards his 18 points while pulling down eight rebounds, dishing three assists and grabbing two steals.

After a 4-for-7 showing from the three-point line, senior Ra'Shaud Kincaid contributed with 14 points, seven assists, three rebounds and two steals. The starter is 9-for-14 from three-point range over his last two contests. Kincaid is holding on to the top spot on the nation (NAIA DII) with a 55.7 three-point field goal percentage.

The Cougars were led by Trent Elliot on offense with 18 points while Eric Miller and Durante Lee pulled down five boards each to lead the team.

The Golden Bears will take a break from RSC play as they travel to Bluefield State College Wednesday, February 1 for a 6 p.m. tipoff.
