BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech volleyball dropped a 3-2 battle to River States Conference (RSC) opponent Cincinnati Christian University Saturday afternoon. The Golden Bears are now 21-11, 4-8 (RSC) while the Eagles move to 9-15, 4-7 (RSC) after set scores of 19-25, 25-18, 25-21, 15-25 and 10-15.
Freshman
Lauren McCall led the attack, tying her career-high, with 22 kills. Junior
Kayla Hill marked 13 kills, also matching her career-high, while sophomore
Katelyn Byrd finished with nine.
Sophomore libero
Alice Amitrano picked up 15 digs while fellow classmate
Konstantina Pateli had 13. Pateli also marked a match-high 48 assists to go with six kills and four service aces.
Sophomore
Emily Kidd led Tech with two block solos while putting down four kills.
The team will return to the court Tuesday, October 24 when they play host to RSC foe Point Park University in Van Meter Gym.
