BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech volleyball picked up their first River States Conference (RSC) victory, 3-0, over the University of Rio Grande Tuesday evening in Van Meter Gym. The Golden Bears boost their record to 17-4, 1-4 (RSC) while the Red Storm move to 3-17, 0-5 (RSC).
Tech saw a balanced attack with sophomore
Carolina Bologna leading the way with seven kills while freshman

Konstantina Pateli finished with a match-high 28 assists to go with five digs and two each of service aces, block solos and block assists.
On defense in the back row, sophomore libero
Alice Amitrano recorded a match-best 17 digs. In the front row, freshman
Michaela Hall led the way with three block solos and two block assists.
The team will look to continue this momentum in the conference as they travel to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to face Point Park University (Friday) and Carlow University (Saturday).
