KINGSPORT, Tennessee -- (RV) WVU Tech men's basketball dropped a 74-67 decision to No. 2 Union College during the NAIA DII Showcase in Kingsport, Tennessee Friday evening. The Golden Bears move to 5-2 this season while the Bulldogs improve to 5-3.
The Golden Bears were led by junior
Thomas Collins who finished 6-for-15 from the field towards 18 points. Senior
Michael Scott earned a double-double effort of 17 points and 12 rebounds for the Gold and Blue.
Dominik King pulled down ten rebounds to go with five points while junior
Brent Daniels had eight boards.
Junior
Cole Schoolcraft dished a game-best four assists while marking seven points.
The team was held to 35.6 percent (21-for-59) shooting from the floor while the Bulldogs shot 35.9 percent (23-for-64). Tech held the advantage on rebounds, 48-46.
Up next, Tech will face Warner University tomorrow, Saturday to finish their time at the NAIA DII Showcase.
