BECKLEY, West Virginia -- WVU Tech women's basketball's five-game winning streak was snapped Sunday afternoon after an 81-53 decision to No. 10 Indiana Tech. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 9-7 while the Warriors move to 15-2.
Tech was led by freshman
Brittney Justice who poured in 13 points while grabbing four rebounds. Fellow classmate
Alexandria Gray posted 11 points including a perfect 3-for-3 effort from beyond the arc.
Under the boards, senior
Zjhane West pulled down a team high six rebounds to go with nine points and two blocks.
As a team, Tech finished 21-for-56 (37.5 percent) from the floor while Indiana Teach shot 32-for-61 (52.5 percent).
The Gold and Blue will return to River States Conference (RSC) play on Thursday, January 4 when they travel to Indiana University Southeast.
